Grown Here. Poured Here.

A Family Farm. A Crazy Idea. A Lot of Hard Work.

It started the way a lot of good things do — not exactly as planned. A greenhouse trip that fell through, a winery tasting discovered almost by chance, and one bottle of Chambourcin that changed the direction of everything. Mike and Judy Pour looked at 150 years of family farmland in the rolling hills of southern Illinois and decided to do something unexpected with it. One foot in front of another, one thing led to another thing led to another thing.

That's how The Pour Vineyard came to be.

The Land

This farm has been in the Pour family for over 150 years. What was once open farmland is now six acres of vineyards — Chambourcin, Vignoles, and more — growing in Midwest sun on ground that's been worked by this family for generations. The lake, the barn, the rolling countryside — none of it was built for show. It's just what this place has always been. We just opened the gate.

The Wine

We grow what we pour. Our estate-grown grapes go into some of our most beloved wines, and every bottle on our list is made with the same honest approach — no pretension, no jargon, no apology. From the bold, American-born Norton to the unapologetically sweet Farmhouse Red, from our most popular Blackberry to the seasonal batches of Strawberry and Peach that disappear faster than we'd like — every wine here has a story, and most of them start in this soil.

The Experience

The Pour Vineyard isn't just a winery. It's a place. Come for the wine, stay for the view — the lake, the century-old restored barn, the covered pavilion, the terrace where southern Illinois opens up in front of you. Live music every Saturday and Sunday from April through October. Private events that feel nothing like a generic venue. A tasting room where you're greeted like a neighbor, not a customer.

This land has been hosting gatherings for over 150 years. Yours will be in good company.

The Family

The Pour Vineyard is owned and operated by the Pour family. What started as a bold idea on a centennial farm is now one of southern Illinois's favorite destinations, built on hard work, a lot of prayers, and the belief that great wine doesn't have to be complicated. It just has to be honest.
