FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you offer wine tastings? Yes — and they're on us. We offer a free tasting of five wines so you can find your favorites before you commit to a glass or a bottle. Not sure where to start? Just ask. We're happy to walk you through the lineup.
Do you sell wine by the glass or beer at the winery? Yes! All of our wines are available by the glass, and we carry a variety of domestic and craft beers. Our house-made, private recipe wine slushies and sangria are also a fan favorite — definitely worth trying.
What are the food and drink options? We offer a small food menu, and you're welcome to bring your own picnic-style snacks — meat and cheese trays, chips, dips, that kind of thing. Please no crockpots, chafing dishes, or full meals. Along with our handcrafted wines, we serve domestic and craft beers, soda, and water. No outside beverages, please.
Can I buy bottles to take home? Absolutely. Bottles are available in the tasting room and through our online shop at thepourvineyard.com. If you find something you love, grab a few — the seasonal wines don't last.
Do I need a reservation? No reservation needed for regular visits — just show up. All seating is first come, first served. For groups of 20 or more, please call ahead so we can make sure we're staffed appropriately.
Is the vineyard family-friendly? Yes — this is a family farm and we mean that in every sense. Children are welcome and must be supervised at all times to make sure everyone has a great experience. Only guests 21 and older may participate in wine tastings or purchase alcoholic beverages.
Are dogs allowed? Leashed dogs are welcome on our outdoor terrace. Come enjoy the view together.
Do you have live music? Every Saturday and Sunday, April through October. It's one of the best afternoons you can have in southern Illinois. Check our Events Page for the weekly schedule.
Do you offer non-alcoholic options? Yes — we serve soda and water for guests who prefer something non-alcoholic. Everyone is welcome here.
How far are you from St. Louis? About 45 minutes southeast of St. Louis. Plenty of people make an afternoon of it — and most of them come back.
